Family Reunion *
Family Reunion is a collection of works and title of my first solo exhibition. In which I begin to explore my rich and tangled family history and personal development. Through paintings, sculptures, collages, and prints I explore my relationship and standing in my family and my connection and sense of belonging to my Bajan ancestry. All of the works in this collection take on an element of growth, loss, and nostalgia all of which are taken from fragmented memories of my personal experiences.
The combination of ghostly personified faces and the feeling of liminal spaces plays on this overarching theme of taking a trip down memory lane where nothing is truly grounded because it is set in this dream space.
